On April 14, 2017, in the morning of Good Friday, many people crowded the Cathedral of Saint George in Tbilisi, the Armenian Diocese in Georgia. The Armenian faithful, as well as the parish of the Evangelical Baptist Church, the Roman Catholic Church and the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Georgia, gathered in the church.

On April 13, 2017, the Holy Thursday, following the Morning Service, a Divine Liturgy was offered in the functioning churches of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia. Under the presidency of His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, the Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia; the Divine Liturgy was celebrated in the Saint Etchmiadzin Church in Tbilisi. The celebrant was Rev. Father Husik Harutyunyan, Pastor of Armenians in Bolnisi and Tetritskaro regions.

On April 13, 2017, led by Rev. Father Narek Ghushyan, Pastor of the Armenians of Rustavi and Marneuli region, the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, representatives of Armenian community in Rustavi visited the Saint Etchmiadzin Church in Tbilisi, Avlabari. The guests offered prayers and lit candles in the church, took photos near the cross-stone (khachkar), erected in the church’s yard in the memory of the Armenian Genocide victims.
