On April 10, 2015 the Hayartun Center , in cooperation with the Union of Armenian Intellectuals of Georgia, initiated a literary and musical evening called “In Memory of the Great”, which was dedicated to the Armenian intelligentsia, massacred during the Genocide. The Primate of the Armenian Diocese in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of RA to Georgia, Mr. Yuri Vardanyan, poet and translator Givi Shahnazar, the head of the Tolerance Center of the Public Defender office, Bella Osipova were among the guests.

On March 29, 2015 a commemorative evening in memory of the Genocide victims was conducted in Batumi Roman Catholic Church, with the participation of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Church. The evening began with the Lord’s Prayer. Then the fathers from Armenian and Catholic churches delivered a commemorative service.

On April 9, 2015 a delegation from Armenia led by the RA National Assembly deputy, chairman of the RA YVU Department, Lieutenant-General Manvel Grigoryan, made a short stop in Tbilisi on the way to Jerusalem to place a khachkar (cross-stone) in dedicatation of the 100th Anniversary of the Armenian Genocide. The delegation including the RA National Assembly deputy, Lieutenant-General Sedrak Saroyan and the governor of the Syunik region, Suren Khachatryan, accompanied by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of RA to Georgia, Yuri Vardanyan, visited the Saint Etchmiadzin Church and the Hayartun Educational, Cultural and Youth Center in Avlabari.

On April 9 2015, the representatives of the Armenian Diocese and community in Georgia led by Father Ter-Samvel Torosyan, paid tribute to anti-Soviet peaceful protestors tragically killed on April 9, 1989. They prayed for souls of the victims and laid wreath and flowers on behalf of the Diocese at the memorial in front of the Parliament Building.
