On April 9, in Avlabari district of Tbilisi, near Surb Etchmiadzin Church, on behalf of the clergy, the officials and faithful of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, flowers in memory of April 9, 1989 Tbilisi Massacre victims were laid at the Khachkar (cross-stone), erected by the Armenian people. The Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan and the clergy conducted the requiem service in memory of peaceful demonstrators, who died for the independence of Georgia. At the end of the ceremony the Head of the Diocese underlined the Armenian-Georgian centuries-old friendship and good will of two Christian nations to share their sorrows and joys.

On April 6, the requiem service in memory of the victims of Syria’s war was conducted in Surb Etchmiadzin Church of Tbilisi. The Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan attended the mourning ceremony.

On April 5 the Calouste Gulbenkian Hall of the “Hayartun” Center at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia hosted a joint event entitled “Paper Clothing” by TAMAR and KIDS PAPER FASHION SHOW studio and the art group of the Center. The show of the same name was held one year ago, received a warm response from children, parents and teachers, and upon their request was held again this year involving a large number of participants over a wide geographical area. The Paper Show aimed to develop children's imagination by means of precious natural material – recycled paper. 70 participants representing Tbilisi Public Schools # 86, 103, 104, 131 and the art group of the “Hayartun” Center presented paper clothing. The members of Art Therapy Group of Shushi Center of the Narekatsi Art Union from the Nagorno-Karabakh Republic led by the Head of the Center Michael Sargsian and teacher Hasmik Yesayan were distinguished guests of the show.

The International Organization Samaritan's Purse held another charity event in a refugee settlement of Khurvaleti in the region of Gori. On April 2, 2014 Karen Yeritsyan, representative of the International Organization Samaritan's Purse in Georgia, camera crew of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia and members of the Georgian Young Lawyers' Union Irina Jeyranashvili, Khatuna Lomjaria and Ani Paranicheva visited Khurvaleti village. They brought presents from kids residing in distant Europe, who had sent them to their peers with the expression of great love. Forced to live their home and now residing in Khurvaleti 130 children with pleasure and great joy received presents from their foreign friends, expressing love and gratitude in return to the children and the International Organization Samaritan's Purse Mission in Georgia.
