On February 28 in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, received President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili accompanied by Armenian Foreign Minister Edward Nalbandian. Head of the Office of Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin Bishop Arshak Khachatryan, the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan, and administrative department head of the Holy See of Etchmiadzin Bishop Musheg Babayan attended the meeting.

On February 25, 2014 at the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Orthodox Holy Church in Georgia a meeting of the Council of Religious Community Leaders under the chairmanship of the Primate of the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia, His Grace Bishop Vazgen Mirzakhanyan was held. The Head of the Roman Catholic Church in Georgia, His Eminence Bishop Giuseppe Pasotto, the Head of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Georgia, His Eminence Bishop Hans-Joachim Kiderlen, the President of the Evangelical Baptist Church in Georgia, His Eminence Bishop Merab Gaprindashvili and the Bishop of the Evangelical Baptist Church in Georgia, His Eminence Malkhaz Songulashvili attended the meeting.

On February 25 which marks the Feast of St. Ghevond the Priest and His Companions, under the presidency of His Holiness Karekin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, the traditional meeting of priests took place in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, to which celibate bishops of the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin, the Primates of the Armenian Dioceses, 230 clergymen of different Dioceses and the Mother See were invited. From the Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church in Georgia spiritual shepherd of the Cathedral of Surb Gevorg in Tbilisi Priest Narek Ghushchyan, Sacristan of the Cathedral of Surb Gevorg Priest Husik Harutyunyan and spiritual shepherd of Surb Etchmiadzin Church in Tbilisi Priest Samvel Torosyan attended the meeting of priests.

The 21^st of February as International Mother Language Day since 2005 has occupied an undiminished place in Armenian public holidays’ calendar. This year as well both in Armenia and among the Armenians from Diaspora around the world different events, dedicated to preservation and laudation of our precious Armenian language, were held.
